What are TAGs? Think tag-alongs. These are children of adult volunteers who are too young to be registered as Cub Scouts.  

The TAG station essentially provides child care to Tags while their parents are assisting in the Camp operation. A child can be registered as a Tag only if one of the parents is assisting at the Camp for the at least three days**

Due to mandated Child to Adult ratios for the TAG Station, the number of Tag seats are limited and usually fill up fast.  It is recommended that the Adult volunteers expecting to bring Tags to Camp, should register early to ensure a Tag seat. 

  •  All Tags must be potty-trained and the parent (mother or father) MUST be on the premises at all time. 
  • You cannot substitute another family member that is at camp to keep your child in the TAG station without prior approval from the Program Director.
  • Any TAG older than 6 years of age should be registered as a Cub Scout.
  • Tags will NOT participate in any shooting sports activities at camp.
  • Tags slots are limited. The allocation is based on two criteria:
    1. Number of Days the Parent is volunteering at the camp
    2. First Come First Served

 Camp Uniform
 A camp shirt will be provided on Monday to every Tag that has registered according to the size that was chosen during the registration process. The camp shirt is the official uniform and must be worn everyday at camp, no exception.

*Note* Close-toed shoes are required at camp. No flip-flops, sandals, or Crocs. Any Tag that arrives at camp without the proper footwear will not be accepted at Tags Station and the parent will be notified to bring the proper shoes.
 Allergy and Medications
  • Parents registering a Tag for the camp must note all the Medical restrictions, allergies and requirements in the Scout Health Records (medical forms A and B).  
  • Also, it is the responsibility of the Parent to additionally inform TAGS Station leader of these restrictions/allergies/requirements.   
  • The Tags's medical health record (A & B) will be reviewed by the Health Officer prior to the first day of camp.
  • Any kind of allergies, whether food, animal or medication, will be listed in the TAGS Station Leader's handbook for quick reference during the day.

*Note* All medications that your Tag brings to camp must be turned in at the Medical Station. Only epi-pens and asthma inhalers are allowed to stay with the TAGS Station Leader.
